: jdbc courier use case

C++ Development with JDBC

A database management tool vendor who had a GUI application written in C++ was looking to support JDBC drivers in their database visualization tool.

In this case the Windows application was written in C++ and represented many man-decades of effort. The requirement was to support the existing feature set with any JDBC driver that their customers were using.

JDBC Courier was a total no-brainer. The customer ended up using JunC++ion to generate JDBC Courier themselves to meet their exact needs. The integration was done during the 30 day trial period and probably saved tens of thousands of dollars in development effort while effortlessly expanding their product's reach to a new, previously untapped, customer segment.
